How To Prepare For Our Online Classes

As you may already know, Martina and Gemma have been extensively trained in Contemporary Pilates and Slings Myofascial Training. They spend vast amounts of time preparing functional, balanced and optimised classes. We recommend you aim to complete the online class at least twice per week. For you, this means deepening your knowledge, refining your skill and embodying the concepts underlying the movements by practicing the exercises again. If you haven't had the chance to take two or more of our classes per week in the past, prepare to be very surprised. It makes a HUGE difference to your results!

How to best prepare for our online classes:

1. Choose if you will be watching the class via your mobile phone or via your PC/Laptop, then download ZOOM the appropriate way and register for a free account.

Zoom for Computers

Just like in class, you will be listening to Martina’s instructions, rather than watching her the majority of the time. You will only need to look up occasionally if you are unsure. In that case, having your mobile phone is often the most convenient as you can move it around as you change position. If you really want to be able to see her, then choosing a laptop or device with a larger screen can be more effective. Why not try both options in the coming weeks to see what works for you?

2. Create a space for you and your mat somewhere in your house. Do your best to tune the rest of your household out. If it helps, diffuse some essential oils or light a candle and create a space you just can’t wait to spend time in. 

3. If you have any concerns/injuries/issues please email us prior to course commencement (or any time during the course) so Martina can contact you directly.

4. Familiarise yourself with our Online Class Etiquette to ensure you have a wonderful experience.

Once you have registered, we'll send you an email with an invitation and instructions on how to join in the classes.  Please join the meeting 10 minutes before class starts to ensure you can successfully join the meeting. Don’t worry if you miss the live class, you will be emailed the recording and can perform it in the comfort and privacy of your own home as often as you like…why not make it your daily practice?
